Avid Off Road 80 Series Rear Bumper Installation

Remove the factory bumper sides and top. So just the cross member is left. 

Unbolt the Spare Tire support piece that the chain hoist is attached to.

Measure 3.5" from the back of the frame rail and cut the rear crossmember off. The smaller angled pieces on the inside will also need to be cut off flush with the frame.

The bumper will cover the exhaust mount on the frame. So the exhaust will need to be rerouted, cut or and new attachment point drilled into the bumper. Most opt for cutting the exhaust behind the rear axle as this maintains the maximum amount of ground clearance. (See Picture above)

The truck should now be ready to install the bumper. The arms need to be bolted on before the bumper is in place. Once the bumper is bolted to the truck, the attachments can be setup and installed. Let us know if you have any questions about anything. [email protected]
